We believe in serving our community. Every year The Doctors Clinic actively supports various health and fitness causes throughout our local communities. Some of the events and beneficiaries of our efforts include:
The Doctors Clinic Whale of a Run benefiting Hospice of Kitsap County
The Whale of a Run is the largest run in Kitsap County. Held the last weekend of July as part of the Whaling Days celebration. Runners shared in the fitness fun of the 4 mile race, 1 mile run/walk, Kid's dashes and Special Olympic dashes. The 2010 event raised $17,500 for Hospice of Kitsap County. Hospice will use the funds toward comprehensive and compassionate end of life care for individuals with a life-limiting illness; support for patients and their loved ones, and bereavement support to anyone in our community who is mourning a loss.
Relay for Life benefiting American Cancer Society
Staff, family and friends of The Doctors Clinic came out to celebrate, remember and fight back against cancer at the Central Kitsap/Bremerton Relay For Life on June 26-27, 2010. Together we raised awareness and over $14,000 for the American Cancer Society.
