James Bates, MD
I practice General Internal Medicine which consists of both health maintenance and screening along with the diagnosis and medical treatment of problems in an adult population. I perform complete examinations on a yearly basis and recommend testing and screening procedures as they become due. I am the first point of contact for any health or disease related issue. I make every effort to see you within one or two days of a new medical complaint. If you have chronic medical problems, appointments will be scheduled on a regular basis throughout the year.
As the person who is most familiar with you "medically," I will do my best to relay information to, and communicate with, those who might take care of you in the hospital. I continue to follow my own patients should nursing home admission ever become necessary.
You have every right to have high expectations of me and I will always do my best to deliver. Likewise, I have the right to expect commitment from you in terms of appointments, taking medication, and following other health recommendations. I look forward to having a long and meaningful health care relationship with each of my patients.
