Patient Philosophy
For a patient to have success in physical therapy, I believe it demands encouragement and education. It is crucial for the patient to gain an understanding in how to self-manage their condition.
In 2013, I achieved my certification in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). This training has influenced my approach to helping people understand how to manage their condition independently.
Physical therapy benefits patients in all facets of their physical health by improving movement, strength, postural awareness, balance, overall functional ability and therefore quality of life.

Professional Experience
I have worked in a wide variety of physical therapy settings, from comprehensive rehabilitation to balance disorders, and gained experience and insight from each one.
I use a variety of techniques with an emphasis in the use of the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) principles.
The MDT approach focuses on diagnosis of mechanical (back) pain and treatment that is based on movement and position, patient education, self-exercise and training people to independently manage their condition. I found this method has proven to be the most effective approach to caring for my patients.
